What Is an Automatic Flexo Printing Slotting Die-Cutting Stacking Machine?
The automatic flexo printing slotting die-cutting stacking machine-usually we call it inline flexo die-cutter, it is a versatile converting workhorse in any corrugated carton box factory. It combines four separate operations into one continuous line: flexographic printing, longitudinal and cross slotting, rotary die-cutting, and automatic stacking. Main Functions:

1. Automatic Feeding
A vacuum-assisted lead-edge feeder picks single sheets and delivers them to the first print unit at controlled intervals. Modern servo-driven feeders handle sheet sizes from 400 × 600 mm up to 1,600 × 2,800 mm and even bigger size, including standard corrugated carton box blank dimensions. Anti-double-feed sensors prevent jams and material waste.
2. Flexographic Printing
The printing unit comprises 1–4 inline color stations. Each unit has an anilox roll (laser-engraved ceramic, 200–600 LPI), a photopolymer printing plate on a plate cylinder, and an impression cylinder. A chambered doctor blade system ensures consistent ink film thickness-critical for color uniformity across thousands of corrugated carton boxes. Registration accuracy reaches ±0.25 mm on premium machines with CNC zero-backlash gearboxes.
3. Slotting and Creasing
Slotting heads cut longitudinal slots defining the flaps of a corrugated carton box. Each shaft carries paired slotting knives and creasing rings. Servo-controlled positioning sets knife spacing automatically per job dimensions. Cross-slotting units handle perpendicular slots for multi-depth corrugated carton box designs, with slot depth accuracy of ±0.5 mm at full speed.
4. Rotary Die-Cutting
The die-cutting drum carries a flexible steel-rule die cutting the corrugated carton box external profile-hand holes, ventilation apertures, and custom contours. A hardened anvil cylinder provides the cutting surface; modern soft-anvil systems use disposable polyurethane blankets to extend die life. Die-cutting pressure is hydraulically adjustable with digital readout, enabling precise force setting for each corrugated carton box board grade without crushing the flute.
5. Automatic Stacking
The finished corrugated carton box sheets exit onto an automatic stacker that counts, jogs, and stacks bundles at line speed. Programmable batch counters trigger automatic ejection without stopping. High-speed stackers handle up to 12,000pcs per hour, synchronized with the main drive.
