Turkey straddles is in Asia and Europe, it is a potential EU member state, a NATO member, and a G20 member, possessing a strong industrial base. It is not only one of the world's emerging economies but also one of the fastest-growing countries globally.
Besides corrugated cardboard factories, Turkey has approximately 150 third-tier (Category C) carton factories, with a monthly output of 1000-2000 tons. Their main products include pizza boxes, tile and bathroom accessory boxes, auto parts boxes, and shipping packaging boxes.
Due to the product structure and the local minimum wage of $600 USD, the standard equipment for a third-tier factory in Turkey includes: one four-color printing line, one double-sided five-color printing and stacking line, one fully automatic die-cutting machine, one fully automatic stapling machine, and an automatic waste removal line. In addition, Turkey has a very special group: carton wholesalers, which we will call Category D enterprises.
Their goal is to build a carton printing plant once their monthly sales reach 500 tons.
In terms of factory size, factories under 5,000 square meters are classified as Category C, 10,000 square meters as Category B, and over 30,000 square meters as Category A. The reason Turkish factories are generally large is due to payment terms, averaging 60 days and reaching a maximum of 120 days. End users not only restrict payment terms but also place pressure on corrugated cardboard factories regarding transit warehouses.
